Mirissa Beach and Giragala Mirissa beach is a famouse tourist destination in Srilanka.

Olu Dola Olu dola is a nice location for travel which is located in Southern Province, Matara district.   

Malkekula Dola - Akuressa This is a nice water way which flows through Akuressa region in Matara district. We can find this water way when we travel in the bus route from akuressa to Dediyagala. If you travel from Matara it's just less than 2 hours journey to here.

RUMASSALA Rumassala is an amazing palce in srilanka which is at Galle district. There are plenty of amazinf views(monutain views, slopes, beach views) around the rumassala mountain. Currently it is considered as a major tourist attracted places in Galle. It is a nice place to spend your holiday, take some rest and take a sea bath. 

Biso Dola - Thelijjawila, Matara This is a unpopular place, normally travelers dont visit there because it is a small place. But I'm writing about it, to show you that there are still unpopular, untraveled small areas in Srilanka.

Mannar Mannar bridge... Mannar is a large district in Srilanka, which is located in Nothern province.  Many people tends to travel there because Mannar was under LTTE terrorist control in last few years.  Now there are more than 35,000 population in mannar and majority of them are Hindus. There are many tourist attracted places in Mannar, such as Light Hose Old Dutch Fort The Baobab tree Old Dutch Fort . . . This fort was build by Portuguise. When Dutch arrived to srilanka they captured this fort and rebuild it. The Baobab tree . . . This tree is considered one of the largest trees in Srilanka.  Also know as Elephant tree. You can realize the size of the tree trunk by comparing with the people near the tree. Apart from above things,  mannar is famous for fish industry and its rich with dry zone bio diversity. Nagadeepa Nagadeepa Island is aslo know as Nainativu. It is also a small but important island located in Jaffna peninsula. This is also a famous travel destination in Jaffana. It takes a few minutes of boat ride to reach Nagadeepa island from Jaffna.  Boat services for Nagadeepa island This island has a history which related with Buddhism. Therefore we can see many Buddhist cultural and archaeological and cultural creations in this island. Majority of population in Jaffna  is Tamils. Because of that there some recently created Kovils also can be seen in this island. Its beleived that Naga people lived here in past. Naga people:- A ancient srilankan tribe who worshiped snakes (Naga) Buddhist temple at island (Nagadeepa Viharaya)... Delft Island Delft, Neduntheevu or Neduntivu is an island in the Palk Strait, northern Sri Lanka. This island is a famous travel destination in Northern province in Srilanka. We have to face a sea journey more than 1 hour before we reach to Delft fro Jaffna.  There are some families live in this island and all of them are Tamils. This island have their own culture.  Also island is rich with beautiful locations, wild animals and vegetation. Wild horses can be seen almost in every area of the Delft island. The island is quit large and you have to hire a vehicle if you wanna travel throughout island.  There are many places that you should visit in Delft. Places with natural beauty and places with historical heritage are there in Delft. Below images will guide you about those.... Sinharaja Rain forest  Sinharaja rain forest is a large rain forest with a great bio diversity in srilanka. It is declared as a world heritage by UNESCO. Its located in samabaragamuwa and southern province in Srilanka. This forest is rich with water ways and water springs because this area get a heavy rainfalls annually. THere are many endemic species (Trees, insects, reptiles, amphibians, mammals) . THat is one of the main reasons this is considered as a world heritage. Below are some awesome views at Sinharaja..

Ranmihithanna National Tele Cinema Park Ranmihithanna tele cinema park is the only tele cinema park situated in Srilanka. This is established in Thissamaharama district. (Between Kataragama and Thissamaharama). This amazing place consists of both village and urban area back grounds which can be used for movies and tele-dramas. Below are some urban area backgrounds in Ranmihithanna... Some indian and Srilankan movies have been filmed in above backgrounds. The village and natural backgrounds created here are admirable. Many Sriankan teledarmas ("Koorale Mahaththaya", "Muwan Pelassa") have been filmed in the village backgrounds at Ranmihithanna tele cinema park. Weherahena Temple                  Weherahena Viharaya is situated in kakanadura, Matara.It's about 7km away from matara town. Weherahena is a popular temple among buddhist though is nothing historical significant in this temple. infront view of the temple The story of this temple starts during the early 20th century. It is said that Rev. Parawahera Rewatha thero was sent to this area as a punishment. In that days this area was very rural and 1/2 acre od think jungle with a bodhi tree. with the instruction of rewatha thero with the support of the villagers this temple was constructed. And also he wanted to create a tunnel with the stories of ummagga jathakaya. With the help of Angarika Dharmapala in 1993 they kept the foundation stone for the tunnel.
