Blow Hole (Hummaya)

                        
      The blow hole or which is known as hummanaya is located in Southern province sri lanka, in dickwella.This is the one and only known blow hole in sri lanka and it's considered as the second largest blow hole in the world.

         This is known as hummanaya as we can hear a "hoo" sound even we are distance away from this place.This blow explodes every 10-15 minutes when the pressure occured  between the rocks.





The fountain spray often reaching as high as 25m to 30m.Now this place is developed as a tourist attraction place with small information center.


Around Hummanaya there is a nice beach where you can take a rest.  And there is a marine info center which might be useful for those who are interested on marine life.
